3. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS. All units shall comply with Federal OSHA and NFPA standards in
effect at the time the proposal is issued. The contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials in
accordance with Public Law 94-580 to the maximum extent practical.
4.1 Contractor certification. The contractor shall certify and maintain evidence that the product offered
meets the salient characteristics of this CID and that the product conforms to the producers own drawings,
specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices. The government reserves the right to require
proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the
provisions of the contract.
42 Manufacturer experience. The manufacturer shall have had at least one year of experience in the
production and sale of the unit. Proof of such experience shall be provided to the government upon request.
4.3 Bid samples. The government will request bid samples if the literature submitted is not adequate. A
14 to 30 day evaluation on each sample will be made. Evaluation criteria is maintained by the preparing
activity. Criteria will be provided upon request.
5. PACKAGING. Preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking will be as specified in the
contract or purchase order.
